I’ve been living in the UK for nine years now, gone through college and university, and I’ve changed a lot. But my passion for photography and my desire for innovation have never changed. From taking selfies around the world in the past, to starting my own ‘dot comme’ studio now, I’ve always loved photography.
It was during a private photoshoot a few years ago that I first used a Meitu smartphone. I was amazed by the quality of the photos it took and the natural beautifying effect on portraits. In fact, my customers loved the photos taken by the Meitu smartphone more than the ones I took on my camera!
Incidentally, years later I had an opportunity to collaborate with Meitu during a London Fashion Week. Meitu smartphone was surprisingly handy on fashion shows. Being small and light, it was easy to capture high resolution photos with Meitu smartphone in a crowded environment.
Below are some of the photos that I took during the MM6 2017 F/W London fashion show.
Despite being constantly on the move and in a relatively poor-lit environment, the photos that I took with Meitu smartphone were surprisingly bright and clear. There was no need for photo editing and I felt the photos even had a hint of a nostalgic film quality to them. All my studio partners were eager to lay their hands on a Meitu smartphone after witnessing the excellent quality of the pictures. Following much negotiation with the Meitu staff, we managed to get hold of the ever so popular Meitu T8 which was shipped to us from China.
Since then, we took the Meitu T8 smartphone with us wherever we went!

I also took Meitu T8 with me to the 2017 Paris Fashion Week - excellent photos with natural outdoor lights.
And also whenever I’m out and about! A key aspect that I like about Meitu smartphone is that, unlike my other smartphone, Meitu doesn’t automatically turn itself off in cold weathers!
A few days ago, I took some pictures of my studio partner Vicky and the colours were gorgeous. They were of such high resolution that you could even capture her hairs and eye lashes clearly. Our love for Meitu T8 prompted us to do a fashion photoshoot using this smartphone only.
So here we did the editorial shoot with the phone!
It was quick for Meitu T8 to focus and it was easy to adjust the focus and brightness using the touchscreen directly.

Our model then wanted to try taking some photos herself. So we set up a tripod to secure the Meitu smartphone and she could take some pictures using a remote control. It was wonderful to see the cute and fun aspects of our model when she was in charge of her own photo shoot.

We finally took some indoor shoots. It was already sunset and the lighting in the room was quite poor in fact, but the photos that Meitu T8 took were really above our expectations. Here are some of our indoor shoots that me and my studio partners love.
With regards to image clarity, colour tone, and processing of light and shadows, Meitu T8 is on par with a standard SLR camera.

Meitu T8 is a smartphone that I would definitely recommend. It is a good choice for those who love to take great photos when traveling. In my opinion, it is also a convenient tool even for professional photographers with its fast focus and excellent ability to capture light. My photographer friends from other countries have been so interested in my Meitu smartphone. I even feel a bit proud that a camera phone made in my own country could generate so much interest!
